Em uma palestra intitulada \u201cBrazil: The Long and Winding Road\u201d (Brasil: o caminho\u00a0longo e sinuoso), analisei\u00a0as conquistas da democracia e discuti uma agenda para o futuro. Em raz\u00e3o das vota\u00e7\u00f5es no STF sobre o rito do impeachment e da pr\u00f3pria vota\u00e7\u00e3o do impeachment no dia 17, n\u00e3o fiz uma aprecia\u00e7\u00e3o da crise atual durante a minha apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o oral.Qualquer coisa que eu dissesse poderia ser interpretada e utilizada por um lado ou pelo outro. Havia um clima de paix\u00f5es exacerbadas no Brasil.
